Neurolink, embedded in one’s brain… what could possibly go wrong 😑 hard pass for me and mine.

I feel so sorry for the research monkeys being tortured by this man's scientists. I am not a religious person but I imagine for God, Bhudda and any other persons waiting at the pearly gates, this is a hard pass.

Not a particularly rosy outlook for Musk endeavors. Couldn't happen to a nicer person!

My immediate reaction was "I hope Alexandr Wang holds off having children indefinitely." Silicon Valley seems to be a testosterone-crazed dystopia.

The whole thing is dystopian. Why does Musk need to go to Mars? Why does he need to have driverless cars? Why does he need to implant chips in his brain to live forever? What kind of person is this? When this money - this trillions of dollars could feed and tend people here on earth who just need someone to drive them to the grocery store or farm stand.

"Musk is using Starlink as a tool for regime change in Iran." One person should not have that type of power. Starlink should be nationalized for global security reasons.

Ozymandias

By Percy Bysshe Shelley

I met a traveller from an antique land,

Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone

Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,

Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,

And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,

Tell that its sculptor well those passions read

Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,

The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;

And on the pedestal, these words appear:

My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;

Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay

Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare

The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

The large bust of Elon in his space station town is made of "rubber-like material."

I hope it melted into a nasty pile of goo.

If one is going to use AI (I've used ChatGPT as a programmer), should I be using Musk's AI instead because that will help it lose more money?

How sad about all those unsold Teslas. I wouldn't buy one if it were the best car available.

Neurolink is the stuff of nightmares.

Probably also the way he'd describe his doge (UGH) rapid fire destruction of a good chunk of our federal govt - without a single care for massive human damage, here and abroad ... yep, "just a scratch" ... whatever.

Can you imagine living anywhere near the Texas space center? I imagine the explosion will cause deep lifelong trauma to those folks, maybe as much trauma as the Ukranians have lived through for years, or anybody left in Gaza who is looking for some dry milk powder for their children under the utmost danger of being shot for doing so. Who the hell does he think he is? I am not a johnny-come-lately either. Musk and his satellites have bothered me for a decade - when no one was paying attention to the rich man behind the curtain because, you know...eccentricity is charming. I know I am preaching to the ever-loving choir here but this man is dangerous and the sooner the drugs get him (and they will at this rate), the better for everyone. He has shown his true colors with the Nazi salute. For me (and maybe for you), there is no going back from that.
